The interview with Dime (Zae Martinez) from the group the Classiks

The interview with Dime (Zae Martinez) from the group the Classiks was not only inspirational but extremely heartfelt. The interview opened up with one of the original songs that got me in tuned with the group of “how bad do you want it”. Continuing into the interview I was able to get deep and personal with the artist in finding out his motivations and aspirations to continue in the very challenging and competitive music world. He several times, over and over, said it was due to his family and friends that his motivation to continue with his work prevailed. He said  he began as a teenager between 13 and 14 years writing and rapping, and at the age of 21 he paired up with his best friend/brother Big Daddy Real/Sammy. He also explained his first performance and song “Now you know,” which went real big; right away he continues that was performed at Sound Factory in San Francisco. He further contributes that this was the song that really put him on. He originated in Fairfield, where he is from, but due to the success of his career he has made it nationally and internationally. I enjoyed him going over the songs he created including the song “pass the butt,” which he said never made it to the album. However, he says, “it was a fun song to make”. The interview continues with great beats of Jamaican tones on his song “Concrete Jungle,” and a very fun and upbeat tunes from his new hit “Ratchet”. He was very humble in his interview by introducing the other members and giving them much prestige and recognition for being a part of the group 3rd BORN ENT. With all the praise they called in to give thanks and congratulate him on being able to speak on their behalf in their absence. Be on the watch out for the group Classiks they are truly doing their thing and got some great music. You won’t be disappointed with the Classiks.
