Show Blurb

Show Name: Double Coverage

Show Genre/s: Sports Talk and Hip Hop

Show Description: The title hints at what my show is about, a duo of both sports and music. I start off and end my shows playing music of the Hip Hop genre. But when I say Hip Hop, I don’t mean that same recycled mainstream type of songs that one can listen to on a popular hit radio station. The Hip Hop artists I listen to usually aren’t that commonly known and produce more original and “organic” music. I am also a big old school Hip Hop/Funk junkie thanks to my dad and play a lot of music from the late 80s to the early 2000s on my show. Occasionally you’ll hear me mix in some Reggae or some Spanish music because I have a pretty big interest in those genres as well. The middle half of my show is when I discuss what is going on in the sports world. I follow just about everything but since I can’t fit all of that into a 25 minute time span, I usually cover the more popular sports (NFL, NBA, NCAAF, MLB, & NHL). Occasionally I’ll cover some College Basketball, College Baseball, Euro league soccer, MMA, Boxing, or Sac State sports depending on what else is going on in the sports world. Tune in to Double Coverage if you want the best of both genres.
