Earth Day at Sac State

So as you may or may not be aware, Earth Day is quickly approaching. April 22nd, to be exact, which lands on a Tuesday, but for whatever reasons Sacramento State has deemed worthy they have decided to celebrate it on the 17th which lands on a Thursday; obvious bright side is that we will get two Earth Days this way, which may inspire some people to go out and make a difference. I do have some bad news, if you learned everything you know about Earth Day from a Pauli Shore movie, it isn’t going to be like Bio-dome.

Experimenting with Pescatarianism

So I’m not an expert on this stuff, but with Wikipedia as my guide I have begun the long road of Pescetarianism. If this seems to be an alien term to you, then in the words of the Pleague (Hackers) “Never fear, I is here.” A Pescetarian as far as I understand it is a person who, much like a vegan avoids meat, but where as a vegan wouldn’t eat fish or eggs or even milk to the Pescetarian these are A-OK options. Which is a good thing for without creamer my coffee would be a shell of it’s former self, and without coffee I would be lost.

Flappy Bird: Just a game, or a critique on society as a whole?

For the readers out there who haven’t heard, there’s a web-sensation following a game that goes simply by “Flappy Bird.” Don’t let the simplicity of the name fool you: after downloading this free app from your IOS store (whatever they call that) or the Android market place, you will find on first observation that this game had some heavy influences drawn into it from Super Mario.
